Bachelor International Hospitality Management scores high
The Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatie Organisatie, NVAO) in The Hague has granted the HBO Bachelor programme of International Hospitality Management (IHM) in Leeuwarden a positive evaluation.
The accreditation testing to which the programme was subjected this spring demonstrated that IHM scored well in no less than seventeen points and that it obtained a sufficient score in four points. This provides the programme with an exceptionally high score that by far exceeds the national average for programmes accredited until now.
Adjunct Chairman Klaas-Wybo van der Hoek of the Executive Board of CHN University Netherlands (CHN), is quite pleased about the result. ,,It is fantastic that we obtained such a high score.
The high score was not only in the area of internationalisation but it was also a reward for our efforts to improve the quality of education.¿¿ IHM Leeuwarden is also highly appreciated by the students. Last year, IHM obtained a top position in the poll regarding the appreciation for educational programmes organised by the Elsevier magazine. Van der Hoek thinks that NVAO¿s positive accreditation demonstrates that the innovations that were introduced by the school were worth the effort.
