HAN University: Human Resource and Quality Management

Arnhem Business School offers five full-time four-year bachelor programmes, which are taught entirely in English. One of them is Human Resources and Quality Management.

Human Resources and Quality Management staff have increasingly important functions and play significant roles in the management of organisations. Virtually every manager, regardless of his or her area of specialisation, has responsibility for managing the human resources and the quality of the organisation.

Policy and management positions

The Human Resources and Quality Management (HRQM)* study programme prepares students for policy and management positions in industry and government organisations in an international context. Graduates are familiar with both commercial processes and legal procedures. They are well suited for all positions in an organisation related to human resources management and quality management.

Structure of the programme

Each year is divided into two semesters and each semester is divided into two periods, with assessments during and exams at the end of each period.

• First year Foundation year, includes a specific project per programme
• Second year Specialised subjects within general business background
• Third year Study abroadWork placement
• Fourth year Strategic subjectsGraduation assignment

 

• Optional: Fifth year  Master’s degree, in related or different disciplines
   

Students take five to six modules per semester and are also involved in interactive group projects, which enables them to develop their practical skills.

 

Double degree programmes

ABS students can also apply for a double degree programme at one of the partner universities in

Since a limited number of double degree places is available, competition is fierce. Students who are selected for a double degree programme spend an extra semester at the partner university and on successful completion of their double degree and their ABS programme, are awarded two qualifications - a major advantage for an international career.
