Times Higher ranked the UK second to the US overall. Of the 200 top universities world wide, the UK is home to 24. In comparison, the US has 54 while Australia took third place with 17. The Netherlands is continental Europe's best education nation, with ten universities in the top 200 list, ahead of France and Germany with just nine each.
Delta II is going ‘surprisingly well’
“The application procedure for Delta II has gone surprisingly well,” reports Daniel van Aken, Team Leader for Inbound Mobility at Nuffic. Delta II is the new scholarship programme that combines the old Delta programme, the Talent programme and the Huygens programme, and will ultimately become the new Huygens Scholarship Programme (HSP).

Huygens Scholarship Programme (HSP)
The HSP Huygens programme is open to students from all countries of the world. It is aimed at talented students who want to come to the Netherlands in the final phase of their bachelor's studies or during their master's studies. Study can include research and/or practical training. The programme is also open to PhD students from Croatia, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania.
Dutch government wants to attract more foreign students
The Dutch government's new budget has allocated 50 million euro to stimulate cooperation partnerships between the country's three universities of technology: TU Delft. Twente University and the University of Eindhoven.

DELTA scholarship is now also for Russians
DELTA (Dutch Education: Learning at Top level Abroad) is a programme that enables Dutch higher education institutions to award scholarships to students from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.
Working students face surcharge
