Nuffic recently published the annual report on higher education in the Netherlands  Key Figures 2009 contains information from the 2008 Internationalization Monitor, supplemented with the latest data.

Key Figures 2009 features data on the number of international students currently studying in the Netherlands and statistics on their nationalities.

According the report  in the Netherlands  76,000 students follow higher education:

5 TOP countries of origin: 

  • Germany — 19,750 students
  • China — 5,000
  • Belgium — 2,500
  • Spain — 1,950
  • France — 1,650
