Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences offers foundational courses for international students to help them prepare for the school’s English-taught Bachelor’s or Master’s programmes. These courses allow students to upgrade their English language skills to an appropriate level and aim to ensure they are able to succeed during their study.
The preparatory courses also connect previous education with what students will learn during a higher education study programme and will expose them to Dutch teaching methods. Upon course completion students are able to pass the IELTS exam and will receive the Foundation IBA certificate, enabling them to qualify for their preferred degree programme.
Prospective students can apply to one of 4 different prep courses, depending on their initial English language proficiency and a level of the programme they wish to enter. All of Wittenborg’s prep courses are run in Apeldoorn and have 6 entry points during the academic year. Students from the EU must apply at least 2 weeks prior to the preparatory course’s starting date, while non-EU students have an earlier deadline and should apply 6 weeks in advance.
