Tilburg University is looking for international students who would like to be part of the new International Sounding Board. Students who participate will provide the university with information about their country and culture, to help Tilburg University recruit students from their home countries. In addition, the participants will have a chance to voice their opinions about what is wrong and what is right at Tilburg University.
"We are aware that foreign students are a great source of information", explains Roos Ruijpers, International Marketing Officer, who developed the initiative.
"We should listen to them because they know everything about the people in their country. It can be about very small things, but they can make a difference.
For example, they can tell whether or not we should dress formally at a fair. Or what a leaflet should look like. We can have an opinion about that, but the most important thing is what the students abroad want to see."
The goal is to have as many different nationalities in the board as possible, and to offer students the opportunity to represent Tilburg University at fairs in their home countries.
