International Business & Management Studies-Exchange programme

Programmes 5 September 2007, 00:00

Do you study at one of our partner universities and are you interested in doing your study abroad in the Netherlands for one or two semesters? Come and join us on the International Business and Management Studies-Exchange programme in Arnhem.

Are you seeking an enjoyable, valuable and international experience abroad? Come and join us on the International Business and Management Studies-Exchange programme in Arnhem.

The International Business and Management Studies-Exchange (IBMS-E) at Arnhem Business School is a tailor-made programme for students who want to study for 1 or 2 semesters in the Netherlands. The course is aimed at students with 2 years of undergraduate studies who want to improve their knowledge and experience in international marketing, communication and management. The course is practice oriented, with the emphasis on cases and simulations.

The IBMS-E modules are taught entirely in English. The IBMS-E programme is designed for foreign students who are taking part in exchange programmes at one of Arnhem Business School's many partner institutions.

We offer all international IBMS-E -students good accommodation. International students are accommodated at a short distance from the campus itself, which enables you to "go Dutch" and go to school by bicycle. For those who prefer the bus, there is a bus stop right in front of Arnhem Business School.

International students in Arnhem live in "digs", which means that you live in a room in a student flat, where you share the bathroom and the kitchen with other students. The students make their own arrangements for cleaning, cooking etc. Be flexible: different cultures have different habits. If there is a washing machine, you can do your own laundering, but you can also go to a launderette. Generally, you will have a room of your own which has a connection for radio and TV, and in some cases, for a telephone.

One of HAN’s student residences is ‘De Honigkamp’, which is a block of flats converted into student accommodation. There are six floors with fourteen to fifteen rooms each. All rooms have a private toilet, a sink and a balcony, but you share the kitchen and the bathroom with your fellow-students. There are two washing machines and two tumble-dryers in the building, which you can use against payment. There are also two telephones in the building. You can watch TV in the common living-room near the kitchen and there is a wireless internet network in place. We are sure you will quickly feel at home in your room and in Arnhem!

Multimedia centre
Arnhem Business School has an excellent multimedia centre: 15,000 volumes, 400 newspapers and journals, placement reports, graduation assignments, annual reports, CD-roms and videotapes. Students are entitled to free borrowing of 4 documents at a time (except magazines, videotapes, placement reports and books of reference). The multimedia centre has a computerized catalogue and borrowing system and a number of computers linked to the Internet as well as CD-rom facilities. In addition there is a copier, a printer, a scanner, several phones, a fax machine, a videoplayer and cassette recorders.

Opening times are: Monday - Friday from 8.30 to 16.45 and Tuesday evenings until 21.00 hrs. During holidays, opening times are limited.

A sports pass is available to ABS students at a reduced rate. The Arnhem sports pass will cost you only € 59 on a yearly basis. The pass offers you free admission to swimming pools, and squash or tennis courts. In addition, special courses like judo, riding, climbing and tennis are accessible at reduced rates.  No tuition fee is charged for Exchange students.
