University of Twente has two rates for tuition fees:
Students with EU/EEA nationalities and others who qualify for Dutch government study grants pay subsidized tuition fees, which are annually fixed by the state. For the 2009/2010 academic year these are € 1,620 per year.
All other master’s students pay full tuition fees: € 6,713 for one-year programmes and € 8,818 per year for two-year programmes in the academic year 2010/2011. The tuition fees are increasing by about 2% every year.
Tuition fee (non-EU/EEA) in 2009/10 and 2010/2011
- € 6,713 for one-year programmes
- or € 8,818 for two-year programmes
Note, Postgraduate Executive Programme participants are required to pay additional fees, see specific programme websites for details.
Cost of Living
As a guide, a single student will need approximately €700 to € 900 per month for (campus) accommodation, study materials, and general living expenses.
Scholarships & Grants
The University of Twente has several scholarships for students completing UT postgraduate programmes. These scholarships vary from government grants to funding by organizations or private people. In addition, faculties and the University of Twente Scholarship Foundation offer a limited number of scholarships for excellent students.
All scholarships require that all UT application procedures are fully completed before applying for the scholarship. Because of strict deadlines, apply for admission at least two months before the scholarship deadline.
Applying for a scholarship is possible as soon as you have received a letter confirming admission. Please note some scholarships are for students of specific nationalities or studying certain educational programmes.
