Finally found the perfect education abroad? It usually comes with quite a price tag too. Getting admitted to the programme of your choice is only part of the challenge.
The other part is making it affordable. NHTV Breda University of Applied sciences offers NHTV Bachelor Scholarship for non-Europeans.
NHTV Bachelor Scholarship
NHTV Bachelor Scholarship has been designed to support non-EU/EEA students who will pay the full tuition fee for bachelor programmes at NHTV. This scholarship consists of a €3000 reduction of the tuition fee in the first year studying at NHTV (paying the non-EU/EEA tuition fee).
In consecutive academic years, these students can receive a €1500 reduction of the tuition fee. This is possible for a maximum number of years NOT exceeding the regular length of the study programme.
Requirement for scholarship
The student has earned at least 48 EC’s in the previous academic year for continuation of the NHTV Bachelor Scholarship. As from the Academic year 2011-2012 onwards the budget is limited and we cannot grant the scholarship to all non-EU/EEA students anymore, therefore students will need to apply and scholarships will be granted on a ‘first come, first served’- base, under the condition that the applicant meets all eligibility criteria.
Next to the selected candidates, we will have a ‘reserve list’ on which the other candidates who meet the requirements will be registered. If one of the selected students decides not to come to the Netherlands or fails to apply for the MVV in time, the next person on the reserve list will be granted with the scholarship.
2011-2012 In 2011-2012 about 7 scholarships will be available for non-EU/EEA students. The tuition fee for non EU/EEA students is set at €7.400 for the academic year 2011-2012
NHTV Scholarships are never paid in cash or transferred to a bank account. The scholarship amounts are always deducted from the tuition fee. Scholarships can only be allocated to students who are officially enrolled on an NHTV study programme in the academic year concerned.
NHTV Bachelor Scholarship
First-year non-EU/EEA students, who are not eligible for the IB-Groep study grant, may apply for a € 3,000 scholarship (for the first year).
The student applying for NHTV Bachelor Scholarships:

- will receive for a maximum of three years.
