Studying abroad is not only a challenging quest, it can be quite expensive too. That is why many prospective students search for an institution that fits their needs and can also provide them with financial support in the form of a scholarship.
NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences is definitely an option worth considering when looking for scholarships. New students from outside of the EU/EEA who wish to pursue one of the offered Bachelor's studies can also apply for NHTV Breda’s scholarship programme. Within this programme, eligible students could save € 3000 worth of study costs during the first academic year. Students who continue to achieve good study results (48 EC) during their study’s length can save an additional € 1500 annually, up to a total of 4 years.
Institution fee at NHTV Breda
The tuition fee for Bachelor’s programmes at NHTV Breda during the 2018-2019 academic year for non-EU/EEA students is € 9,693 (institution fee). A scholarship can reduce this amount by almost 32% during the first year of study and over 16% in the following years.
Application and deadlines
To apply for this scholarship programme, prospective students must first register for a Bachelor’s programme at NHTV Breda via Studielink and then send filled scholarship application form to the Student Office via e-mail scholarships@nhtv.nl. They must also attach to this e-mail documents requested by the Students Office, such as list of grades, recommendations, and letters of motivation.
- The deadline for applying is May 1st, 2018, although first-come students get an edge during selection procedure.
- On May 8th, applicants will receive notifications if they are eligible for a scholarship or not. Eligible candidates must proceed with the Entry and Residence procedure in order to receive the MVV visa in time.
- On June 16th NHTV’s Student Office will inform candidates via e-mail if they were chosen for the scholarship.
The number of available scholarships each year is limited and, along with chosen candidates, the Student Office has a “reserve list” with eligible candidates that were not selected for a scholarship. In case any of the chosen candidates fail to finish the application procedure or come to the Netherlands to study, the next student from the “reserve list” will receive their scholarship.
