Finland: The School of Business and Economics of University of Jyvaskyla

Master’s Degree Programme in Corporate Environmental Management at the School of Business and Economics has been ranked number 35 among top “Global 100” MBAs

According to the results of Beyond Grey Pinstripes 2007 survey, Master’s Degree Programme in Corporate Environmental Management at the School of Business and Economics has been ranked number 35 among top “Global 100” MBAs, and has been positioned as number 5 among European MBAs.

Beyond Grey Pinstripes (BGP) survey on a biannual basis evaluates business schools worldwide that offer innovative full-time MBA programmes leading the way in the integration of social and environmental issues in to the curriculum.

For BGP 2007 survey about 600 MBAs worldwide were invited for participation. This year it is already a third time that Master’s Programme in Corporate Environmental Management is being recognized in the Beyond Grey Pinstripes survey. 

The “Global 100” identified this year in the survey also includes such renowned universities as Stanford, Yale and Oxford. The School of Business and Economics with its 1200 students and 80 staff members is an innovative, active and international scientific community. Research at the School of Business and Economics focuses on problems concerning the evaluation of businesses and organisations and understanding their functions as a part of the society.

Research topics include applied economic research, labour markets, regional studies, different aspects of financial and management accounting in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, strategic management, competitive analysis, business ethics, family businesses, entre- and intrapreneurship and corporate environmental management.
