Avans University of Applied Science offers special preparatory courses for students who require additional knowledge and language training for entering into the bachelor degree courses:

• International Business and Management Studies
• Finance and Control
• Environmental Technology or Management.

The Avans preparatory course forms an introduction to chosen bachelor programme and helps to acquire a sufficient command of the English language, Dutch culture and specific domain knowledge.

It is expected, that the student will pass the IELTS exam with at least an overall band score of 6 at the end of the Prep Course. This is a legal prerequisite for enrolment of non-European students on Dutch international Bachelor programmes.

Depending on students level of English language proficiency, the student may enroll on a full-year or a half-year Preparatory Course.
