Inholland University of Applied Sciences offers students the opportunity to contribute to the spreading and sharing of knowledge. Students can choose from a variety of programmes and locations to study.
Focusing on competence-based learning and entrepreneurship, students have the chance to learn and practice the skills necessary to thrive in their careers. Here are the stories of two students doing just that!
Madeleine Roman is a Romanian student studying International Communication Management at the Amsterdam/Diemen campus of Inholland University. She recommends the programme and the school for four main reasons.
She believes that the programme offers students the opportunity to learn about a variety of subjects by challenging them to solve broader issues. Courses are taught using a very ‘hands-on’ approach, meaning that students are able to develop practical skills that they can use in the future.
Madeleine describes Inholland as an international environment. She believes that working and cooperating with people of different cultures and backgrounds has made her capable of applying the knowledge she’s gained in any country in the world.
The final reason Madeleine really recommends attending her programme and school is the city of Amsterdam itself, which gives students the opportunity to experience an active and varied student life.

Tom Maccabee is a UK student studying at the Amsterdam/Diemen campus of Inholland. He is in his first year of a fast track International Business Management Studies programme.
Tom chose Inholland because he wanted to learn in an international environment and to live in an exciting European city like Amsterdam.
He believes his time at Inholland has helped him develop in ways that will be of great value to future employers, not only because of the knowledge gained, but also because of the initiative and motivation he’s shown by moving and studying abroad.
He wants to continue developing his international skills by doing a study exchange programme through Inholland, while working towards the final goal of becoming an entrepreneur with a Master’s degree in economics.
Next to his studies, Tom is doing an internship for a small internet company, plays football for a local team, and likes to spend his time socialising with the friends he’s made during his study.
