As our world becomes more complex, building a successful career today is a challenging task and may even be nearly impossible without proper higher education. Being able to study at a recognised university is the first step; the second step is choosing a degree that’s right for you from the many potential options.
Universities in the Netherlands offer a reputed international education for affordable prices, compared to other European countries. More than 87,000 students come here every year from abroad to complete study programmes, and you could be one of them.
With Eurogates, you can browse the programmes offered at Dutch universities, read news and announcements, watch videos, and gather all the information available before making this important and hard decision. Eurogates also provides you with information about Open Days and other events for international students.
Visiting the Open Days and educational fairs organised by Dutch universities is the best way to get a first-hand look at what your new school can provide you with. You can tour the institution you are going to study at, you will meet and talk to your future buddies and teachers, and you can find out exactly what the university’s programmes have to offer. Remember, it is your future, do not leave it to luck to decide!
Open Days at Dutch Universities
Usually, Dutch universities schedule informational events through the year so that everyone interested has the possibility to visit them. These events often take place on or around the same dates. This gives students an opportunity to participate in several events during one trip to the Netherlands. The small size of this country even enables students to visit more than one city a day!
We have gathered the information about these Open Day events, scheduled throughout February and March, in one place to help you with planning your ‘Open Day’ trip. Notice that this is basic information only. If you are interested in some specific events, please visit our ‘announcements’ section or the selected university’s website.

During your time on campus, you can tour the facilities and buildings and sit in on lectures from your programme to really experience it for yourself.
