Students at Amsterdam University CollegeAmsterdam University College (AUC) has updated information about costs and fees for the 2015-2016 academic year. These costs consist of tuition fees for the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme and approximate accommodation and living expenses for students studying in Amsterdam.

The Bachelor’s (Honours) degree programme at Amsterdam University College starts twice a year, in September and in February. It differs from the traditional university programmes as its curriculum provides students with the freedom to design their own course by choosing disciplines that interest them the most.

This approach is becoming more and more popular in the world, especially in terms of preparing students for further academic education at the Master’s level.

Education costs

For the 2015-2016 year, tuition fees for this programme are set to € 4,076 for EU/EEA students and € 11,666 for non-EU/EEA students. Students with excellent school results and high motivation can apply for the AUC Scholarship to cover their expenses fully or in part.

Living and accommodation expenses

While these amounts are certain, other expenses may vary as the costs of living in Amsterdam depend on a student’s personal lifestyle. For example, eating out in a restaurant or going out on Friday night can turn into a very expensive habit and should be calculated separately. Apart from that, students should also budget some money for such unexpected expenses, such as buying a new bike or repairing a laptop.

Since all AUC students live in the residence in Amsterdam Science Park, accommodation costs depend on the room chosen. The most expensive costs are given in the table below.
