At the beginning of October, 2014, NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences will open registration for foreign students wishing to enrol in the International Hotel Management Bachelor’s programme for the 2015/16 academic year. The application deadline for this programme is May 1st, 2014.

The International Hotel Management programme at NHTV Breda University has a restricted intake, meaning that only 160 students are accepted into the programme every year. Once classes are full the application process is closed. If you are interested in enrolling in the course, make sure to submit your application as early as possible.
Admission requirements
You must meet certain selection criteria to be admitted to NHTV’s Bachelor in Hotel Management. These criteria include having a sufficient English language proficiency level (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80, or Cambridge Advanced Certificate) and completing an appropriate secondary school certificate. You must also send your CV and a letter of motivation to the university’s International Office and pass an interview, held on-campus or via Skype, at the Academy of Hotel Management.
How to apply?
The process of application at NHTV Breda consists of 2 steps:
- apply via Studielink by following the step-by-step manual and
- complete the application form and upload all requested documents on NHTV’s website.
Once you register with Studielink and send all the necessary documents to the university, your application will be processed and you will be informed if you are eligible for the programme.
Financing your Hotel Management programme
In the 2015/16 academic year, tuition fees for Bachelor’s programmes at NHTV Breda University are as follows:
- Students from EU/EEA: € 1951 per year,
- non-EU/EEA students: to be announced (was € 8369 for the 2014/15 academic year. The fee will be recalculated and posted by the end 2014).
Talented students from outside of the EU may be eligible for NHTV’s scholarship which can reduce total tuition fees for 4 years of education by up to € 7500.
Programme’s awards and rankings
The International Hotel Management undergraduate programme at NHTV Breda University is widely known for its outstanding educational quality and excellent career perspectives for graduates. The Keuzegids HBO Student Guide 2014 awarded this course the “Top Rated Programme” label, placing it among the best Hotel studies in Holland. The programme’s average score among students is 4.1 out of 5.0 (beating the national average of 3.9 for this programme).
The Dutch government has also awarded the programme a label of excellence for their close work with the hospitality sector.
