Students of the Facility Management programme at NHTV Breda UASAs of the 2015-2016 academic year, international students enrolling in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences need to apply via the university’s website in addition to their Studielink submission.

This new requirement means that the application procedure for the majority of degree programmes at NHTV Breda UAS now consists of 2 steps: registering via Studielink, the Dutch higher education enrolment interface, and completing the application form on NHTV’s website.

Registration steps

NHTV Breda published an application manual for foreign students with detailed information about the steps that should be taken to complete an application. It answers many frequently asked questions and makes the procedure much easier and clearer.

First of all, you will need to submit a “New enrolment application” in Studielink and receive a confirmation and ID via e-mail.

Your next step will be to fill out and submit the application form for a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme on NHTV Breda’s website. This form will ask you to provide personal details and information regarding your previous education.

Required documents

Prospective students at NHTV Breda UASYou will also need to attach the following documents to your application form:

  • a clear copy of your valid passport or ID card,
  • a certified copy of all your secondary school or university diplomas in their original language,
  • a certified translation of your diplomas to either English or Dutch, unless your diplomas are already in English, Dutch, German, or French,
  • if you are waiting for your diploma to be issued at the time of your application, you can send in its copies to the Student Office at a later date, but it must be received before the beginning of the school year,
  • your Curriculum Vitae,
  • a motivation letter,
  • a copy of your valid Dutch residence permit (if applicable),
  • your IELTS or TOEFL test results.

At this point you will also need to pay an application fee of €82.50. An application fee exemption is applicable for students who use Eurogates for additional information or assistance in applying to NHTV Breda. If you’d like to find out more about this exemption, please contact us via Skype (Skype username: Eurogates).

Finally, you must also send certified hard copies and translations of your diplomas to NHTV’s Student Office via regular mail as soon as you obtain them. These can be sent to the following address:

NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences
Student Office – Admissions
PO Box 3917

The Netherlands

Once your documents are processed by NHTV’s Student Office, you will be notified via e-mail if you are eligible for the programme you chose. Depending on the course, you may also be asked to pass an admission interview or online intake assessment to determine your level of knowledge in certain areas.

Application deadlines

The only exception applies to your diploma; if you are waiting to obtain it while applying for enrolment at NHTV, you can send it to NHTV’s Student Office later, but it must be received before September 1st when the academic year starts.
