Tilburg University is known for degree programmes in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, and Social Sciences. The university’s outstanding reputation in these areas was reaffirmed in 2015 based on its high scores in global and national university rankings. These great results maintain the institution’s status as one of the leading specialised research universities in Europe and the world.
As an institution that focuses on research and education in only a select number of fields, Tilburg University is not evaluated in many of the international rankings that are published each year. Nevertheless, the institution placed in the top 500 globally in the three primary international university rankings, the QS, THE and ARWU, in 2015. Only first 340 out of 17,000 best universities in the world (2%) belong to this elite group.
