About programme

Microbiology is a scientific area which has the crucial potential to improve our health and environment. Professor Mike Jetten, a well-known researcher famous for discovering ‘impossible micro-organisms’, initiated the Microbiology specialisation at Radboud University. He describes the new programme below:

“Microbiology acts on the interface between biology, chemistry and medical sciences. I’m glad that Radboud University now offers a programme that contains all of these key elements. The focus will be on research: students will spend more than half of their programme in a laboratory, performing their own experiments. This will contribute to their theoretical knowledge as well as their practical skills, and provides them with a network of renowned scientists in their field of interest.”

Application deadlines

Application deadlines for Radboud’s Master’s specialisation in Microbiology are April 1st for non-EU students and May 1st for EU students. There are also a number of scholarships and grants available for outstanding students which can partially or fully cover tuition fees and other expenses.
