NHTV offers a number of introduction weeks with different schedules, depending on the Bachelor’s course you are enrolled in. All of the introductory programmes have common goal: to introduce you to your new school, new town, and the people you will be studying with. The programmes are designed to be great adventures that will help you make new friends, gain some useful knowledge about your new surroundings, and have a lot of fun in the process!

What can you expect?

During the introduction week you will explore hotspots in Breda, take part in educational and sporting events, play dynamic games, and socialise with your classmates at parties and shows. Current university students and staff will also be there to support you, ready to answer any questions you have while also revealing the most interesting sides of student life at NHTV.

To apply for an introduction week programme you must be admitted to one of the applicable Bachelor’s programmes at NHTV Breda University and you must be starting your studies in September. The list of available introductory programmes can be found below.

Introduction programmes at NHTV Breda

  • CampLost students in BredaThe Intro NHTV Unexpected Journey takes place from August 31st to September 3rd and is designed for new students in the following Bachelor’s programmes:
    • International Leisure Management,
    • International Tourism Management, and
    • the Bachelor of Science Leisure Studies.
  • The introduction festival CampLost 2015: The New Beginning comprises of 3 days and 2 nights from September 1st to September 3rd. The programme costs €135 (this includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and is available for the following programmes:
    • Creative Media and Game Technologies / International Game Architecture and Design, and
    • International Media and Entertainment Management.
  • The InterSib introduction week will start on September 1st and end on September 3rd. The application deadline for the programme is August 14th. It costs €135 to participate, which includes 2 overnight stays, breakfast on Wednesday and Thursday, lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday, snacks, and the closing drink on Thursday. The programme is open to new students enrolled in the following Bachelor’s courses:
    • International Hotel Management, and
    • International Real Estate and Facility Management.
  • BTO Introduction Days are scheduled for August 31st - September 4th and are intended for students of the Bachelor of Science Tourism academic programme.
  • Introduction ITMC is designed for students of the International Tourism Management and Consultancy programme. Details for this introduction course are yet to be announced.
