Scholarships available at Webster University in the Netherlands

Students enrolling in a programme at Webster University in the Netherlands can apply for a scholarship to have their tuition fee reduced. These scholarships are applicable to both graduate and undergraduate programmes and can cover study costs by up to 25% for one year. After the initial one-year period, students can re-apply for a bursary.

Students at Webster University in Leiden, the NetherlandsStudents enrolling in a programme at Webster University in the Netherlands can apply for a scholarship to have their tuition fee reduced. These scholarships are applicable to both graduate and undergraduate programmes and can cover study costs by up to 25% for one year. After the initial one-year period, students can re-apply for a bursary.

Webster University awards scholarships to students with excellent study results and/or financial needs. The Scholarship Committee examines each candidate’s circumstances and determines scholarship amounts on an individual basis. Scholarship recipients are expected to demonstrate leadership potential and participate in the university’s activities.

Webster University Leiden (WUL offers partial scholarships to full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s students. Work-study grants for students who can not pay the tuition fee on their own are available as well.

WUL Undergraduate Studies Scholarship

  • Who may apply: new full-time Bachelor’s students.
  • Scholarship amount: up to € 4,000 – 15 to 25% of the € 15,600 tuition fee for one year of study, can be renewed.
  • Requirements: previous study results equal to a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 out of 4. Financial needs or extracurricular achievements give candidates an advantage.
  • Application deadlines: April 15th for students beginning their study in the fall or November 1st for those starting in the spring.

WUL Graduate Studies Scholarship

  • Who may apply: new full-time Master’s students.
  • Scholarship amount: up to € 7,400 – approximately 25% of the € 20,520, € 26,640 or € 29,600 tuition fee for one year of study, can be renewed for 2 year programmes.
  • Requirements: prior study results equal to a GPA of 3.5 out of 4. Financial needs or extracurricular achievements give candidates an advantage.
  • Application deadlines: May 1st for the fall intake or November 1st for the spring intake.

Work-study grants

  • Who may apply: accepted full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s students.
  • Scholarship amount: approximately 15% of the tuition fee for one year, can be renewed.
  • Requirements: financial needs. Previous study results equal to a GPA of 3.0 out of 4 preferable, but not necessary.
  • Application deadlines: dependent on programme.

Other scholarships

Webster University Leiden also awards several country-specific grants in cooperation with US organisations (Federal Student Aid) and EP-Nuffic (Netherlands Fellowship Program and StuNed Scholarship).
