Marie Ernst, graduate of the ESSET programme at AvansMarie Ernst from Austria was enrolled in the Environmental Sciences for Sustainable Energy and Technology (ESSET) Bachelor’s programme from 2009 to 2013. She describes why she chose Avans and how the university helped her find a good job upon graduation.

"I knew the Netherlands from earlier holidays and found the country very pleasant. That’s why I looked at different universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. When I walked towards Avans from the train station I felt at home right away. The meeting with the lecturer who gave me information about the programme went well, and the choice was made.”

"Without my diploma I would never have had this job at Arcadis. I did my final work placement here and after my graduation they gave me the opportunity to stay."

Ernest Incoom, the IBMS graduate at AvansErnest Incoom, a student from Italy, graduated from the International Business and Management Studies (IBMS) Bachelor’s programme in 2012. This is what he had to say about studying at Avans:

“I really liked the study programme, the modern campus structure, the professionalism and seriousness of the staff. My years in the Netherlands were among the most exciting moments of my life. I had the chance to study in a great, diverse and inclusive environment. I had the privilege to be taught by great lecturers, whom I admired. They taught us not only to be excellent professionals but also to be great men and women. I felt welcome and at home from the first day I set foot on the grounds of the campus. Truly an enriching experience!”
