From 15 until 19 September, Saxion University will participate in two education fairs in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. On 17 September, a staff member will be attending the Begin Group Fair in Moscow and on 18 September we will be attending the Begin Group Fair in Saint Petersburg.
With 27,000 students spread over 3 cities in the Eastern part of the Netherlands, Saxion is among the larger universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. Over 10% of the university’s student population is international. Students from over 80 different nationalities study at Saxion, which makes studying a truly international experience.
Russian student feedback
Students from Russia find their way to the beautiful environment as well. Susanna Ambartcumian for example started in February 2016 in the Bachelor in International Business and Management Studies. “The pursuit for the ideal university is not endless unless you find a perfect choice.”, she says. “That choice for me is Saxion. It gives me everything I need, along with the drive to study which comes from mentors and the value added that you can always choose apart from the studies.”
For top-of-class students, there are a lot of excellence tracks and honours programmes to choose from. Susanna joined one of the honours programmes, giving her a great advantage after graduation.
Even though Saxion is a relatively large university, the environment is student focused and personal. “I like the idea that almost all — if not all — the teachers know you in person, which is a good business-like approach for the environment and which makes people feel differently, like they are known and recognized amongst other classmates.” — Susanna adds.
