Leiden University organises free webinar for prospective Bachelor’s students

At the webinar, Leiden University’s staff members will tell which programme fits your goals, what you need in order to apply and how to increase your chances for a scholarship. After presentation current university student will share her student life experience. At the end of the event they will answer any questions you may have.

Leiden University studentsPreparing for your study in the Netherlands takes time. You need to find a programme, pass an English language test, and gather all the required documents. It’s important that you do everything correctly, but sometimes it’s difficult to get the right information if you’re trying to do everything at a distance.

Visiting each university you’re interested in in person can be expensive and time consuming. But if you are considering studying at Leiden University, you won’t need to travel to the Netherlands to find the answers you’re looking for!

The university is hosting a live webinar on November 24th to engage with prospective students and answer any questions. Just turn on your laptop at 19:00 CET to ask Leiden’s students and staff what you want to know!

Which programmes to choose from?

Leiden University is a Dutch research university, ranked within the word’s top 100 universities. Its Social Sciences and Humanities departments receive especially great rankings each year.

Leiden University offers 8 Bachelor’s programmes that are taught in English. These are:

  • BA Art, Media and Society – Develop programs for museums, festivals, or media labs.

  • BA Dutch Studies – Become an expert in the Dutch language, history, and society.

  • BA/BSc Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges – Customise your own study path, live, and learn on-campus.
  • BA Philosophy: Global and Comparative Perspectives – Learn about philosophies of the Western world, South Asia, East Asia, and the Arab region.
  • BSc Psychology — Prepare yourself for a career in research, counselling, international organisations, and more.
  • BA South and Southeast Asian Studies — Delve into the cultures, languages, and history of South and Southeast Asia.

Why attend the webinar?

At the webinar, Leiden University’s staff members will discuss the various programmes available and offer guidance as to how to apply. Application requirements will be covered, as will various scholarship options.

After the staff’s presentation, a current student at the university will share her experiences regarding student life in Leiden. The presenters will be available to answer any questions you may have at the end of the event.

Attending the webinar is free, but it does require registration. Providing information about your interests and preferences during registration will help the speakers prepare to make the event especially useful.
