As of September 2017, full-time MBA students at Nyenrode Business Universiteit will be studying in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. This move aims to give students more opportunities to integrate into the European business landscape and community.
Nyenrode University makes it a priority to help students find a great company to start their careers with. The institution has numerous activities, such as “Meet the CEO” sessions and other career-oriented events, that already connect students with the Dutch labour market. Moving the MBA programme to Amsterdam aims to provide students with even more opportunities, connecting them to other career possibilities across Europe.
In 2016, Nyenrode Business Universiteit redesigned the full-time MBA programme to add European Immersion Modules. These modules allow students to visit companies situated in Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Milan, and Paris. Relocating the programme to Amsterdam is the next step in the programme’s development to open more international doors for students.
Prof. Dr. Dennis Vink is a Program Director of the Nyenrode full-time MBA. Here is what he has to say about moving the programme to Amsterdam:
“Company visits connect our students with business executives of top tier companies and institutions, providing a great opportunity for them to expand their network, learn about the latest developments in international business, and enables them to explore employment possibilities.
Our strong connection with the business world plays a big role in providing employment possibilities to our students. Currently, 82 percent of them find a job within three months after graduation. Living and studying in Amsterdam will bring our students even closer to such opportunities.”
The full-time MBA is a flagship programme at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. It is a one-year course that is taught entirely in English and is designed around case studies, business practices, and European Immersion Modules.
MBA students develop personally and professionally throughout the programme, allowing them to boost their career opportunities and bring them to an international level.
According to the Financial Times Ranking 2016, Nyenrode’s MBA programme is ranked #38 in Europe.
International Business Game
The university invites prospective students to attend informational events about the full-time MBA programme to help them discover if it truly suits their career goals. The next event is the International Business Game in Amsterdam, scheduled for March 30th — April 1st. This event challenges the business skills of students and gives them a chance to win an MBA scholarship at Nyenrode.
