International students applying for a Master’s programme at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam can also apply for scholarships at the university. Scholarships can be used to cover tuition fees. Students are still responsible for their own living costs and other expenses.


Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam provides scholarships to outstanding students applying for the Bachelor’s programme in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). The scholarships fully cover tuition fees for the first study year and can be extended for subsequent years.
