Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences awards bursaries to exceptional students enrolled in the university’s degree programmes. The bursaries partially reduce tuition fees and are available for both current and new students at Wittenborg. Only one scholarship can be used at a time by students.


Gaining new knowledge is an important part of studying, but only learning theory is not enough to prepare for a career. To convert knowledge into professional skills, it is important for students to be able to apply newly gained theory to real-life practice. That is why Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences combines lectures with project weeks, internships, and graduation assignments.


This summer, a new Sports school will be opened in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn, named Full Force Sports Academy. The school is a partner of Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences, and will provide several rooms in its dorm for the university’s students.


Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences will begin to offer a new international Master’s programme in 2016, instructing students in the field of Sport Business Management. The programme will start on October 17th and will take 1 study year to complete. Its graduates will receive a Master of Science degree from the University of Brighton, UK.


Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences provides accommodation for international students in Apeldoorn. There are 3 types of student housing which can be arranged by the university: apartments, houses, and Spacebox studios. To receive a room upon arriving to the Netherlands, students need to request it during application procedure.



As of September 2015, the academic International Business Administration (IBA) Bachelor’s programme in Entrepreneurship and Small Business at Wittenborg University of Applied Science will move to a new campus in Amsterdam. Students enrolled in this course will be provided accommodation in the Student Hotel and will benefit from all of the modern facilities it offers.


The 2014 edition of the Keuzegids higher education programmes guide was recently published, ranking Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences 5th in the International Business and Management Bachelor’s programmes category. The International Business Administration (IBA) programme scored 6.8 and is the highest-ranked programme of its kind in the Apeldoorn and Deventer region of the country.


A new report published by the British Ministry of Education suggests that the need for international education is on the rise. An immense opportunity is becoming available to countries that are able to provide study programmes to students from the emerging economic powers such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, Mexico, Saudi-Arabia, and Indonesia.


Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences has started to offer new Entrepreneurial Business Administration (EBA) Bachelor programme. This IBA spesialisation is designed for the students, who wish to combine higher education with starting their own company.
