The new edition of the U-Multirank 2017 ranking was released recently. Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen ranked fifth out of 1,465 universities in the category of Graduate companies (start-ups). The university is also at the top of this group within the Netherlands. In addition, Hanze UAS ranked first place out of the 1,236 institutions worldwide for regional joint publications.


HAN University of Applied Sciences offers scholarships to non-EU students that are enrolled in one of the university’s English-taught Bachelor’s programmes. Scholarship recipients will have their tuition fee reduced by €2,500 or €5,000 in the first year and will be able to extend the €2,500 reduction to all 4 years of their study, saving up to €12,500 in total.


Higher education in the Netherlands is expensive while finding scholarship or grant for studying can be a challenging task. One of the ways of paying tuition fees and student life costs could be borrowing finances from the Dutch government. It is possible for EU students under 30 of age, who is going to stay in the Netherlands after graduation.


NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences offers two pre-Master’s programmes for students with professional Bachelor’s degrees. These programmes prepare students for academic Master’s courses at NHTV or at research universities in the Netherlands and Belgium. Both options are taught in English.


The 5th edition of the United Nations’ World Happiness Report was recently published, ranking happiness in 155 countries around the world. In this year’s edition, the Netherlands improved by one place and became 6th overall.

As of September 2017, full-time MBA students at Nyenrode Business Universiteit will be studying in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. This move aims to give students more opportunities to integrate into the European business landscape and community.
