Tilburg University has several ideas for how to spend the € 100,000 it will receive from the province of North Brabant to attract new students.

The TU/e will receive at least one grant in the first round of the “Starting Grant Competition” of the European Research Council (ERC). Luc Brunsveld, who will be appointed professor at the Faculty of Biomedical Technology in July, is to receive 1.25 million Euros.

The number of applications received from international students is climbing. The new strategy for recruiting international students seems to be paying off.

On 12 November 2007 Stenden University (former CHN) launched its Honours Programme with 25 participating students.

The Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatie Organisatie, NVAO) in The Hague has granted the HBO Bachelor program of International Hospitality Management (IHM) in Leeuwarden a positive evaluation.

Stenden University achieved an excellent score in an international poll among 29 universities and colleges geared to attracting many English-speaking foreign students.
