Nintendo Benelux organised a Super Mario Maker competition that revealed some of the best current Game designers. Leroy Freeth won the competition (and took home a brand new Wii-U console!) after building the most creative and playable level for Nintendo’s game. Leroy is a 2nd year Bachelor’s student enrolled in the Game Design & Development programme at Hanze University of Applied Science, Groningen.


This spring, Nuffic Neso’s regional offices will begin to carry out entrance examination for overseas prospective students applying at Dutch universities. The exams will assess knowledge in Math and disciplines related to Business studies.


Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen introduces a new English-taught study programme: the European Master’s in Sustainable Energy System Management (SESyM). Students will be able study at institutions in the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. The course will be offered as of September 2016 and will take 16 months to complete.


The recently released Keuzegids Masters 2016 ranking assessed graduate programmes at Dutch universities. The Master’s programme in Imagineering at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences has become "top-rated programme" second year in a row. It was also named best Business Administration programme in the Netherlands.


Inholland University of Applied Sciences invites prospective students to attend its free webinars on April 14th and 21st. The university will showcase its Bachelor’s programmes in Mathematical Engineering and International Business Innovation Studies.



Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen will begin to offer a new undergraduate programme in Marketing Management as of September 2016. The study will be taught in English and will take 4 years to complete.


Through the Orientation Year residence permit, graduates from Dutch universities are able to remain in the Netherlands for an additional year after completing their study to find a job in their field of expertise. Starting in 2016, new rules will apply to this residence permit, helping graduates of Dutch and international universities start their career in the Netherlands.


New international students at Hanze University of Applied Sciences can take part in a Welcoming Day conducted in Groningen before the fall and spring terms start. The entire week after the initial Welcoming Day features various events organised by current university students at Hanze UAS schools that new students can participate in.


Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences provides accommodation for international students in Apeldoorn. There are 3 types of student housing which can be arranged by the university: apartments, houses, and Spacebox studios. To receive a room upon arriving to the Netherlands, students need to request it during application procedure.


Avans University of Applied Sciences invites you to visit their Orientation Day for international students on March 16th and 17th, 2016. The event features Avans’ English-taught Bachelor’s programmes. International students wishing to attend will only need to pay for their travel to the Netherlands. Avans will cover costs for accommodation, food, and the event programme.
