Stenden University of Applied Sciences is one of the few vocational universities in the Netherlands, which runs its own learning company, the 4-stars Stenden University Hotel. This is the real business hotel, where students of Stenden’s International Hotel Management School study and work during the first 3 years of their study programme.

Bachelor’s programme in Leisure Management at Stenden University was named the best in The Netherlands by the Keuzegids Student Guide 2014. In 2013, this programme has been also celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Tamara Buzyuk, student of Media and Entertainment Management (MEM) at Stenden University of Applied Sciences, tells about this Bachelor's programme, its importance, structure, facilities, and goals.

For those who want to start their study at Stenden University in February, it is still not too late to apply! The deadline to apply (for EU citizens) is 17th of January. If you are coming from a non-EU country, the next possibility for the intake is in September, since the deadline for February is 1'st of November (for non-EU citizens).

Besides the Master programme in International Leisure and Tourism Studies, Stenden University also offers a Master in International Service Management.

On 12 November 2007 Stenden University (former CHN) launched its Honours Programme with 25 participating students.

The Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatie Organisatie, NVAO) in The Hague has granted the HBO Bachelor program of International Hospitality Management (IHM) in Leeuwarden a positive evaluation.
